Timeless Medical Spa - Ogden Utah Weight Management FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Generally speaking, you can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week on average. During the first 2 or 3 weeks on the program, weight loss may be more significant.
How are patients monitored?
Laboratory tests are ordered, and in some cases an EKG may be required, for Dr. Williams to review to make sure there are not extenuating circumstances that may cause weight gain or prevent weight loss. A body composition is taken every week so that we can track your progress. With the body composition we will be able to determine if you are losing fat while maintaining muscle. If muscle loss occurs, the diet will be adjusted accordingly. The objective is to lose fat mass, and the scale allows us to see if fat mass and percent body fat goes down while fat free mass remains stable or increases. We will also get a basal metabolic rate (BMR) on each client. From the BMR, calorie allotments and protein needs will be determined.
Do I need to exercise on this program?
Exercise is not required as part of our weight loss program, but is highly recommended for clients that want to lose weight faster and keep it off. If you are interested in exercising we have access to personal trainers who can assist you.
How much does the program cost?
Consultations are free. Your initial visit will be with our knowledgeable and helpful Weight Loss Consultants. The Initial Work-up fee for participants starting the program is $125.00, which will cover the first month of the program including weekly weigh-ins and your first visit with Dr. Williams. That first appointment will include a complete body composition and program education. The meal replacements cost about $50.00 a week. This price includes 4 boxes with seven items inside. These meal replacements are used for 2 meals and 2 snacks throughout the day. Regular food is recommended for the evening meal based around a protein.
The first monthly fee of $75.00 is due one month from your first doctor visit. This fee includes weekly body compositions and counseling, a B-complex booster shot, and a monthly follow-up appointment with Dr. Williams.
How long does the weight loss program last?
It all depends on how much weight you have to lose and how strictly you adhere to the TimeLess Weight Loss guidelines. Much of the success of this program solely depends on you and how much effort you put into it. If you are sticking to the TimeLess recommendations, you can generally lose up to 1-2 pounds a week.
If you decide for any reason to stop the program, you can start it up again at anytime, as long as your health permits.
Does the program work for people who only need mild to moderate weight loss?
Yes, we have seen this program work great for many clients that have only 10-20 pounds to lose. If you gain a few extra pounds while in the maintenance phase, you can start taking the supplements again, and even in some cases the prescribed medications, to help you get back down to your desired weight.
Would I ever have to start the whole program over from the beginning?
If you have not been participating in the program for over one year, the physician will need to have an initial consultation with you again. During this visit, Dr. Williams may decide to repeat some of your blood work or an EKG, if needed.
